High school guidance counselors play a central role in helping students access Early College opportunities. CCSNH partners with counseling teams to ensure that students align with graduation and career goals. Another goal is to help students navigate the registration process and adjust to the demands of college coursework.
Counselors Help Students:

Ensure courses align with graduation requirements
Encourage academically appropriate course selection
Support registration timelines
Student Communication:
Encourage students to complete registration early and verify eligibility
Encourage students to contact Accessibility Services pre-start date and verify eligibility
Remind students that these are college-level courses with real grades and transcripts

Early College courses create a permanent college transcript
Students are held to college academic standards
FERPA applies differently than in high school
Credits may transfer depending on institution
Students may take courses at HS, online, or on campus
